The Makkal Selvan hit the jackpot playing the ruthless villain opposite Thalapathy Vijay in 'Master' which has received wide critical acclaim and love from fans. Now comes the big news that the humble and hardworking star has gone to the highest level as far as remuneration is concerned.
We broke the news to you that VJS has signed on to play the lead in a pan Indian web series that also has Shahid Kapoor as the parallel lead and Raashi Khanna as the leading lady. Bollywood sources have now revealed that the star actor has received rupees 55 Crores as salary for the project.
It is said that Shahid Kapoor on the other hand has taken home only 40 Crores and Sethu getting more than him has taken the Indian film industry by surprise. It is said that while Kapoor added a clause in his agreement that there should be a hike if the series extends beyond one season, the South superstar did not opt for the hike.
The mega web series has been titled 'Sunny' directed by Raj and DK of 'Family Man' name. The shooting will begin soon and will stream on Amazon Prime Video by the end of this year.
