About
Maayandi (Nallandi) is an octogenarian farmer based in a small South Indian village. He has found his ikigai in the monotonous daily routine of grazing his bulls, feeding his chickens, tending to his field, and preparing meals. When the villagers approach him to grow special crops for the deities — after a series of bad omens in the region — he gladly agrees. Soon though, Maayanandi finds himself in a tussle with authorities and the property developer. The comedy-drama features only newcomers, except for Vijay Sethupathi and Yogi Babu whose presence is restricted to cameo appearances.
